What foods first?

When starting solids there is no particular order of food introduction.

Good first foods are:

  • Iron fortified rice cereals mixed with breast milk, formula or cooled boiled water.
  • Puree or mashed root vegetables (cooked).
  • Mashed avocado.
  • Mashed banana, cooked puree of apple or pear.
