Hummus Dip


300g tin chickpeas
1 tsp - ½ tsp lemon juice
1 small clove of garlic, crushed
1 tsp parsley, finely chopped
½ cup yogurt, full fat natural
1 tbsp of olive oil


Commercial hummus is often made with tahini paste which is ground sesame seeds.
Hummus is suitable to freeze.
Spread on toast for finger food.


Drain and rinse chickpeas.
Add chickpeas, lemon juice, crushed garlic, parsley, yogurt and olive oil to food processor or blender and process mixture until smooth.
Serve chilled with vegetable and fruit finger foods i.e. cooked carrot, sweet potato, soft pear or apple.
